Amateur note #21: Step outside

Sometimes you need to step outside and get some air, and remind yourself of who you are and where you want to be.

A very interesting summer seems to end. I am on a trip to Switzerland, staying at a peaceful place, one hour away from Zurich and leaving for the World Resource Forum, where I am supporting the team of Studentreporter, one of those project you enjoy working on because it is based on team work. I had to get out of my comfort zone, translating my language of new media and communication into a more understandable one for academics and students in order to help them “translating” theirs into a more understandable one for everyday life people. Why? The issues discussed at the WRF are not only for the academic community but for everyone of us. Was quite a challenge. Another challenge of the last days was that I took a serious break for myself: Not checking emails that often, enjoy my morning coffee without my laptop in front of me, having lunch under the afternoon sun.

Sometimes, you need to step outside, get some air, and remind yourself of who you are and who you want to be.
